| "The
Day of Darkness"
All
human perceptions, morality, ideals, and values
are shaped in childhood. Subsequently, they form
person's mentality and way of thinking, which
determine the destiny. Every event has happened
since childhood has an impact upon whole further
life.
The plot of film is based on opposition between
two central characters: Gor, on the one hand,
and his mortal enemy since childhood called Sham,
on the other hand.
They have been living in the neighborhood since
childhood. However, they were no friends. Sham
and his supporters persecuted little boy. They
were openly hostile toward Gor, they broke his
guitar and beat him. Nevertheless, they could
not break down his spirit. Competitive spirit
and wish to gain revenge led little Gor to karate
school, where his offenders were admitted as well.
Subsequently, craving for revenge recedes into
the background. Thirst of knowledge and desire
to get new perceptions come instead of it. However,
intricate relations prevail among students. Gor
is challenged to continue his fight.
Years passed. Life has changed dramatically. However,
believes and values of hero are still unchangeable:
Gor sticks to principles of morality accepted
in childhood. His old enemies and persecutors
came to power. Gor is in the face of hard choice:
either accept current state of affairs or carry
out desperate struggle against new masters of
life. Of the two options the former one is unacceptable
for him. Sham embodies what Gor hates and against
which he is destined to fight. Controversy becomes
unavoidable and Gor takes the path of war putting
in jeopardy his own life.
